چکیده
Abstract Three trials were executed to examine the nutritive profile, metabolisable energy and digestible amino acid (AA) contents of four indigenous feed ingredients including wheat (W), middling (WM), canola meal (CM) rapeseed (RSM) in Nile tilapia. samples each test ingredient collected from three different locations Multan (MUL) Sukkar (SKR), Pakistan. The pooled thereafter make a homogenous/ representative sample particular study site. Nutrients composition, AA digestibility these evaluated by using laboratory analyses fish studies. Proximate analysis indicated variations some nutrients due location (p < 0.05). Differences also observed arginine, lysine, serine, cysteine, glutamic aspartic acids, histidine, valine glycine Digestibility leucine, was higher 0.05) RSM MUL. Among W MUL, for threonine, Crude protein, alanine, had 0.05), whereas lower tyrosine Metaboliseable did not differ among W, WM, CM regarding their origin > results that nutritional profiles indices vary with

Strategies for Nile Tilapia (oreochromis Niloticus) Pond Culture
Different strategies for Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) culture in ponds with a series of progressive inputs were compared. The sequential experimental stages to increase fish production through intensification were: 1) triple superphosphate (TSP) only; 2) chicken manure only; 3) chicken manure supplemented with urea or urea and TSP; 4) urea and TSP; 5) continually supplemental feeding; 6...
متن کاملMetacercarial Infection of Wild Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from Brazil
Fingerlings of Oreochromis niloticus collected in an artificial urban lake from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, were evaluated for natural infection with trematodes. Morphological taxonomic identification of four fluke species was performed in O. niloticus examined, and the total prevalence of metacercariae was 60.7% (37/61). Centrocestus formosanus, a heterophyid found in the gills, was ...
متن کاملVisual communication stimulates reproduction in Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus (L.).
Reproductive fish behavior is affected by male-female interactions that stimulate physiological responses such as hormonal release and gonad development. During male-female interactions, visual and chemical communication can modulate fish reproduction. The aim of the present study was to test the effect of visual and chemical male-female interaction on the gonad development and reproductive beh...
متن کاملBehaviours Associated with Acoustic Communication in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
BACKGROUND Sound production is widespread among fishes and accompanies many social interactions. The literature reports twenty-nine cichlid species known to produce sounds during aggressive and courtship displays, but the precise range in behavioural contexts is unclear. This study aims to describe the various Oreochromis niloticus behaviours that are associated with sound production in order t...
متن کاملHuman Streptococcus agalactiae Isolate in Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)
Streptococcus agalactiae, the Lancefield group B streptococcus (GBS) long recognized as a mammalian pathogen, is an emerging concern with regard to fish. We show that a GBS serotype Ia multilocus sequence type ST-7 isolate from a clinical case of human neonatal meningitis caused disease and death in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
